Have you ever turned a simple hobby into something bigger? That's my story. What began as crafting bath salts last December has blossomed into a nascent business. In this post, I will share how I moved from making salts in my kitchen to launching my website, Handmade by Arthur, where I can spread joy through relaxation.

My Inspiration and Background

I live in West Dorset with my parents and our dogs, a labrador named Forage and my corgi, Luna, who just had six adorable puppies! Witnessing new life brought immense joy to our family and inspired me to find ways to share happiness with others. I remembered how comforting a warm bath could be, especially during chilly winter.

Making bath salts started as a fun, creative project. With the hustle of Christmas preparations, I found peace in creating something unique. After a busy day, I wanted to help others relax and unwind, much like I did.

As I experimented with various ingredients, I realised bath salts could offer much more than a relaxing soak. I began with Epsom salts mixed with sweet almond oil, then added essential oils to create unique combinations.

I created Dreamweaver, Tranquillity Soak, Zen Oasis, Winter Warmth, and Morning Breeze, the first five blends. Each blend serves a purpose:
